There is a temptation in advanced brain imaging to look at the one famous bundle, judge it, and move on.
We do not work that way. We track the major white matter bundles across the whole forebrain, dozens of checkpoints, in the same order on every case.
The order is not fussiness. It is protection. When you skip a bundle or mislabel one, the error does not stay put. It shifts everything after it down the line, so the next bundle inherits the wrong name, and the mistake quietly propagates through the entire study.
So we build in checks. The same sequence every time, code that confirms nothing is missing, a second pass that verifies the numbers belong to the patient in front of us.
None of that is glamorous. It is the unglamorous part that keeps a report honest.
A brain map is only as trustworthy as the routine behind it.
